Context
- Jesus informed His disciples He will be returning to the Father’s House resulting in troubled hearts
- Concern despite His promise to return and bring to the Father
- Thomas asks, “how can we know the way?”
- Philip requests “show us the Father!”
- Judas (not Iscariot) asks “how is it You will manifest Yourself unto us and not to the world”
- “Let not your hearts be troubled” vs.1
- Then gives reassuring promise after promise
- Jesus bares the burden of responsibility for all entrusted to Him

- Comforter – Introduced to the Holy Spirit as the Comforter
- His personality is emphasized, and His ministry is explained
